Useful Websites
|
The internet is an exceptional resource for learning.
However, finding appropriate and useful websites is not as easy as it seems it should be. Often the information provided is biased and most websites have a product to sell. Frequently google searches turn up what look like interesting articles only for it to transpire that what is presented are just abstracts of books to be bought, journals to subscribe to, or training courses to be paid for.
It seems that the first task the AER can perform is to take the subjects workers would usually be searching for information around and explore the internet pulling together the best of what is out there. We then explain what is useful about each site (sometimes it is as little as a single article in a 250 page site). This is however, always going to be 'work in progress'.
As with everything here, the AER is interactive, if you find a website you think we should look at, let us know. The idea, as always is to provide the best possible resource for workers in Assertive Social Intervention fields.
